English IV : Blog 6 Postgraduate studies

Hi, today I going to talk about postgraduate studies, personally I didn´t think seriously about this topic, but in the future, I would think that is a possibility to consider.  I would do postgraduate studies in occupational psychology, to help me in my job and in the development of organizational diagnosis.  In the matter of the subjects or the knowledge that I would like to have in the studies I think that an approximation of the functional analysis of the organization and in the improvement of the work environment are some interesting topics. 

The importance of the place and the context of the organization is something to take in consideration in the occupational psychology, so if I am going to do this postgraduate studies I would like to have consideration in the place of the studies, so if I can chose I would do the studies in London, in the university of Cambridge. This university is very famous, and in the matter of psychology is one of the best. The only problem is the way in that I would study, I think that the face to face experience is the best option when  I think in studies,  but is very expensive, if I have the money, I would do this trip, but in present circumstances the option that I take In consideration is the distance learning, via online.  Thanks for read!

English IV Post 5: My future job

Hi, today I going to talk about a job that I like to have in the future. Well, I would like to have a job in occupational psychology, especially in the ambit of the training and development of people. I will imagine working with the people of the organization, help them to learn and improve in their work. In this type of work, where I would be working with the organization I think and prefer to work indoor because I will work in the organization and with the workers, so it's important to work in the same environment. In the same line, if the work has the possibility to travel to other organizations and work with them, I would like to work in that way, but travel a lot in the work is something that not fit to me.

I don’t have a lot of expenses so I think that the salary is not something very important to me, while the salary is average and according to the time worked I think that it is fine.  In the present I am studying different subjects related to the occupational psychology, Endowment Intervention and Training and Development of people and finally in the next year I am going to take the Diploma in Occupational psychology, with these tools I think that I could work in the near future.

Blog English IV Post 4: My favorite band or singer

Hi everyone, I going to talk about a band that is very important to me. When I was younger, around 15 years old, I starting to listen to grunge music, with bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden or Alice in Chains, because I was in the orchestra of the school and my friends listened a lot of that music, and we play some songs of that bands. Was In that moment when I started to listen Pearl Jam, but not was until 2 years later when I started to really like the lyrics and the emotionality that Pearl Jam puts and especially his main singer, Eddie Vedder. The vocals of Eddie Vedder are really impressive, and the way that he drives his tone and raspy voice is something unique.

In terms of my favorite song of Pearl Jam, I would highlight the song Better man and Last Kiss, them really touch me emotionally. About my favorite album, I say that the Album In to the Wild is really amazing.

How I said in a previous blog, I went to a concert by Pearl Jam in 2015, when they come to Santiago de Chile. That was the best concert that I experienced, the atmosphere was great and light, everyone was enjoying the concert.

English IV Post 3: Pets

Well, in today´s blog I am going to talk about what I think about pets. When I was 8 years I had a dog called Lady, it was my first pet, and I really liked to play with her. She escaped of the house trying to follow the cars, so we go to search her many times. The last I remember was that she escaped following a car and for much that we search us never found her. We didn’t have another pet until 6 years ago when my sister bought a dog. It is called Momo and is a little white dog, that liked to play with socks and eat everything. We have Momo for 2 years until he started to be more aggressive and bite everyone in the house. The big problem was when He bit my sister and we needed to go to the hospital for the wound that Momo did. My parents decided to send Momo with an aunt that I have in the countryside because was probably that the stress of the city makes him more aggressive. Well, my experience isn´t very good, and today I fear sometimes of some dogs, so I always try to be careful.

I think that the best animals to be suited like a pet are the dogs and some birds, when I think on pets I always think in the expression of affection, so I use that like reference.  I think that cats are something more different, like a part-time pet, there are more independent and can take care of itself. Talking about animals that I don’t like as a pet are reptiles and exotic species, more like a pet I think that we generate damage in the animals, so I prefer not to have that type of animal.  At present, if I have a pet It would be a bird or something like a rabbit.

English IV Post 2: The best concert I've ever been to

Hi, today I am going to talk about the best concert I´ve ever been. When I was 17 years old, I went to a concert of Pearl Jam here in Chile, 2015, in the National Stadium.

This band is a type of grunge music, I really like the lyrics and the musical composition of Pearl Jam and about his main singer, Eddie Vedder. The band is composed by Eddie Vedder (lead vocals, guitar), Mike McCready (lead guitar), Stone Gossard (rhythm guitar) and Jeff Ament (bass) and Matt Cameron (drums).

The concert was fantastic, was a lot of people in the stadium, in the moment that the band start to play all the people started to sing with the band and follow the lyrics. According to the song the ambient of the concert was very different, in moments was very emotional and in others all the people started to dance and jump wantonly. 

I remember that in that concert all the people started to shout: “Gary Medel, Gary Medel Gary Medel (8), with no reason apparently, and The singer Eddie Vedder says : Thank you…Thank you thinking that the people says his name. That was very funny.   

English IV Post 1: A country I'd like to visit

Hi, today I am going to write about a country that I like to visit in the future. That country is Canadá; I would like to go to Canadá because the country seems very beautiful, with different natural landscapes that I lose my breath when I see photos of them. I did not know much about the culture of Canadá, I know that the country has a cold climate, where the winter is the predominant station of the year and the temperatures are very low. The citizens of the country are representative like very nice people, and the cities seem pretty nice.  

Well if I am going to Canadá, I would visit Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver, important cities of Canada goes to museums, squares, and iconic buildings in the city. Also, I would to visit the natural national parks of Canadá and enjoy the climate the much that I can, I would like to see to snow in the city and in nature, because of I never seen snow.

About the travel, I would go like a tourist, and according to the experiences that I had in there, I would think to move out to the country and live there in the future.

BLOG 10: EVALUATION OF YOUR BLOGGING EXPERIENCE

Hi, welcome to the last blog of the assignment of English, the experience of write a blog about some topics like our history or hobbies I think that is something reflexive, in the way that when I write about that stuff I always thinked a lot about the experiences and how I can translate that experiences to something in other language and that someone is going to read, the experience that you want share and what that mean to you. In some blogs I put some feelings about what that mean to me, so I think that the blogs are an opportunity to share and know more about the people that are around us.

Well, I don’t think that my writing skills have a big development, I think that my vocabulary about concepts have increased, especially with the different topics wrote in the blogs, but the fluency of my writing is the same that I have before. In the future I would like to include a feedback about the blogs, something like each two blogs have a feedback about the writing and what I can improve, with the objective of feel that with each blog you are improving in your writing and in how you approach the different topics. I hope that the way in which blogs are developed is considered more as a form of learning in interaction rather than doing activity just to fulfil, since I really believe that sharing with others is part of the teaching that seeks to inculcate the development of blogs. :)
