Hi, today I going to talk about an
expert of the psychology of the development, his name was Lev Vigotsky. He was
a Russian psychologist of Jewish origin, was born in November 17 of 1896 in Belarus
and died in June 11 of 1934 at the age of 37 years old. The fundamental idea of
his work is that the development of humans can only be explained in terms of
social interaction. Consequently, most of his work involved the study of infant
and child behaviour, as well as the development of language acquisition and the
development of concepts.
His studies also include interpretations of the cognitive role of
mediation tools, as well as the re-interpretation of concepts in psychology
such as internalization of knowledge, he introduced the notion of zone of
proximal development, and the perspective of the education and the development
of the child. The studies change the form of knowledge in the human
development, the concept formation and the importance of the language in the
development. I like Vigotsky because these studies have been very important in
the knowledge about the development of the child, and highlighting the
importance of the stage of childhood in a moment when it was not highly valued.

Hello Sergio!
